Digital imaging has revolutionized the way we think about photos. If I took a picture of myself right now I could pretty much make myself look like an alien, shake the president’s hand, or fight a bunch of ninjas and (depending on my skill level) it could look relatively believable. However, I think that in cases of importance, digital editing to any image should be discleosed. By that I mean that if you were a real estate agent and you edited a phot slightly, even if it wasn’t intended to fool the buyer (say editing out some interference) it should be disclosed. But for all other situations, have fun with it!

Crap, so Monday March 3rd, last night, I hyper extended my left knee at gymnastics. I was doing a front flip and i guess what happened was that I landed straight legged and because all of my body weight was leaning forward, as well as still rotating, all the pressure went straight to my knee! The first thing I felt was this rubber band stretch kind of pain in the back of my knee as it bent the other way. Then I dropped to the ground and the first thing I yelled out was “OH CRAP!!!,” hence the title of the blog. Well, it hurt like crazy for about a minute, but luckily nothing was torn and I could move it. Luckily, I had one of those wraps you put on a sprained ankle and wrapped my knee with some ice. I walked around and took some Ibuprofen when I got home. Today, feels really crappy because if you think about walking, you’re pushing the ground away from you by flexing your hamstring and using the tendon to do so and mine is all swollen and painful. The Top Ten Trickers list is a fantastic list of all those best at the new, up and coming martial sport known as “tricking”. Tricking is defined as: an aesthetic blend of kicks, flips, and twists chained together. The list is based on tricking ability and variety, sharpness of techniques, and amount given back to tricking community. Here is the List

John Call gets the number one spot because he has flawless technique and awsome power. Not only that, but he has an expansive, if not almost complete grasp of every tricking move out there. Finally, he started Trickstutorials.com in which he shows video demonstrations of all techniques and explains them in detail.

Printed reviews are more credible because they have been paid for by someone who most likely approved the content. However, blogs promote speediness without losing much thoughtfullness because those who take the time to write a blog may find that it is very difficult to put up false information at their own expense instead of putting up meaningful, accurate facts and reviews. Plus, it doesn’t really matter since a blog has to be taken in stride and it has to bee understood that blogs don’t really have any credibility to them because of their easy and online annonymity.

Mission Statements

Mission statements are those goals and routes by which an individual or company would like to follow its procedure, or a goal it would like to achieve. They are nice to have one because they allow for the follower of the mission statement to keep a goal in mind and have a way to get to that goal.

My personal mission statement is :

“Don’t ever give up. Don’t ever stop moving. Don’t ever stop winning.”

This mission statement will help guide my decision process because I will always remind myself to do whatever I have to through thick and thin, hot and cold, easy and hard and to always win! I will never give up even though I think its impossible. I will never stop trying because I will never stop moving. I will ALWAYS win because that is what I do!

Super Tuesday!

Super Tuesday is tomorrow and the political world is a buzz with speculation, comments and interest. Now with the frontrunners becoming a little more clear, people are making their decisions on who they’re going to vote for. The Republican’s McCain seems to be pulling ahead of Mitt Romney as Clinton is being polarized as the Democratic leader, even though Obama looks forward to 1600 Pensylvania Avenue (did I spell that right?). Lets see what happens…

Teenagers and the dangers of Blogging.

I don’t think that sutdents care about the dangers about online blogging and they don’t really care about what people have to say to them. Today, many kids know about the dangers of online posting and too much information being put out. They have seen all the Mypsace.com specials talking about the dangers of blogging and they really don’t care! I know, I’m one of them! I will post whatever information I want, knowingly. This is because I feel pretty safe in my own world. I’m not stupid. I don’t go into dark hallways or dark streets at night or go out to meet random strangers. Kids will do what they do.

Parents and Internet Safety

In today’s world, it is the responsibility of the parents to know everything that they’re children are doing and it is THEIR responsibility to protect their children in all forms. Today, parents have a great impact on the safety of their kids. They teach them safety in public, on the road, in school and should teach them internet safety and make kids aware of the different risks associated with the internet.

Both the democratic and republican debates have passed and the next big stop on the election track is Supre Tuesday, February 5th. But who will win in November is still up for grabs and no one can say who will win.

Personally, I am a republican, with some liberal views of my own. I don’t like the war in Iraq and I think that we should pull out asap. I do like the idea of federally funded health care resembling the French style. I am Russian, so I favor Russian foreign policy to US foreign policy and I am against gay marriage, pornography, or big government.

Right now, the GOP leader is McCain with Romney close behind. The fact that they were bitter in arguing all night on the Jan 30th debate only hurt the party when on the 31st the Democrats came out and had a good debate. More than likely, McCain is going to get the nomination for the GOP, while the DNC has yet to pick a clear leader so early in the race. If McCain really wants to win, he has to keep going hard and get the nomination. To have any chance against the democrats he has to also swing the conservative republicans, event though he already pulls the moderate and liberal republicans. To do this he can pick Huckabee, the minister governor from Arkansas, to pull the conservative evangelical portion of the country even though they don’t always see eye to eye on every policy.

Romney on the other hand has to pull something out to get himself back to where he was before the debate and win some key states on Tuesday. Huckabee is his biggest problem right now because he competes with him for the conservative vote and its really cripling his campaign.

As far as the democrats go, Obama seems to be ahead of Hilary by pulling the young voters, however his inexpirience in the White House, or politics in general seeing how young he is, may make Clinton the less of two evils that people will go for.
